WHEN IS A PERMIT REQUIRED?

INFORMATION NEEDED TO ISSUE PERMIT

 

NEW HOMES:

  1. Completed building application

  2. Two sets of building plans. Plans must include elevation, cross section, foundation, floor plan, per SPS 320.9(5) and wall brace plan per SPS 320.09 (5) (b) d & SPS 321.25.

  3. Site plan showing lot setbacks and erosion control measures.

  4. Copy of Town zoning permit

  5. Copy of Town sanitary permit

  6. Energy worksheets (heat/loss calculations and insulation R-values)

  7. Complete fee payment. 

 

ADDITIONS, ACCESSORY BUILDINGS, & DECKS:

  1. Completed building application.

  2. One set of building plans (elevation, cross section, floor plan w/sizes).

  3. Copy of Town zoning permit. 

  4. Complete fee payment. 

 

REMODEL:

  1. Completed building application.

  2. One set of building plans showing remodeling area.

  3. Complete fee payment. 

AGRICULTURE BUILDINGS:

  1. Completed building application.

  2. One set of building plans (elevation, cross section, floor plan w/sizes).

  3. Copy of Town zoning permit. 

  4. Complete fee payment. 

                     

COMMERCIAL (new, additions, & remodels):

  1. Completed building application.

  2. One set of state stamped plans with cover letter. If state approved plans are not required (under 50,000cu ft), then provide two sets of building plans for inspector review. (Per SBD118)

  3. Copy of Town zoning permit

  4. Complete fee payment.
