WHEN IS A PERMIT REQUIRED?

​

INFORMATION NEEDED TO ISSUE PERMIT

 

NEW HOMES:

  1. Completed building application

  2. Two sets of building plans. Plans must include elevation, cross section, foundation, floor plan, and wall brace plan per SPS 320.09(5)(b)d & SPS 321.25.

  3. Site plan showing lot setbacks and erosion control measures.

  4. Copy of City zoning approval

  5. Energy worksheets (heat/loss calculations and insulation R-values)

  6. Complete fee payment. 

 

ADDITIONS, ACCESSORY BUILDINGS, & DECKS:

  1. Completed building application.

  2. One set of building plans (elevation, cross section, floor plan w/sizes).

  3. Copy of City zoning approval

  4. Complete fee payment

 

REMODELS:

  1. Completed building application

  2. One set of building plans showing remodeling area and scope of work. 

  3. Complete fee payment

                     

COMMERCIAL (new, additions, & remodels):

  1. Completed building application.

  2. One set of E-Plan or State approved plans with cover letter. If E-Plan or State approved plans are not required (under 50,000cu ft), then provide two sets of building plans for inspector review. (Per SBD118)

  3. Copy of City zoning approval

  4. Complete fee payment.
